Flynn envisioned recreating her own childhood cross-Canada travels with her four daughters. The theft occurred on the morning of May 28, 2024, after the family left the keys inside.
Upon discovery, the RV showed signs of being inhabited, with sleeping bags and food containers inside. The police have not yet removed the vehicle from the woods, leaving it vulnerable to further damage. The family lacked theft insurance as they had only recently acquired the RV and it was undergoing repairs.
