- The canister was a prize from a charity raffle for suicide prevention.
- CCTV shows a man and woman stealing the ornament on an e-bike.

A sentimental garden ornament, a gas canister uniquely painted to resemble a Minion, has been stolen from a property in Woodthorpe, Nottinghamshire. The owner, Mark Ryan, won the item several years ago from a charity raffle where he spent £200 on tickets.
The canister held deep personal meaning, having been decorated by a community member after Ryan's son died by suicide. It was entered into the raffle to raise funds for the suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Security footage recorded on Sunday night shows a man wearing a balaclava and a woman on an electric bike taking the ornament from the garden. Ryan described the theft as "sinister" given the item's nature and expressed his distress, stating he feels "sick to his stomach."
He has contacted local scrapyards and reported the incident to Nottinghamshire Police, hoping for the safe return of the cherished item.
