The stolen remains were taken by Cedric Lodge, who managed Harvard's Anatomical Gifts Program morgue. Lodge trafficked organs and body parts, selling them to Maclean and others, often coordinating through phone and social media. His wife, Denise Lodge, was also involved in these transactions.
Maclean's store, Kat's Creepy Creations, which fashioned items including human remains, was raided by the FBI in 2023. Several other individuals have also pleaded guilty in connection with this extensive human remains trafficking operation.
