A Stockton man, Joseph Gogna, who previously held a license to sell firearms, has been arrested following an investigation into his business practices. Police allege Gogna accepted firearms on consignment but failed to disburse the sale proceeds to the rightful owners. In several reported cases, guns were allegedly transferred or sold without the owners' knowledge or permission.
During a search of Gogna's residence, authorities discovered a significant cache of approximately 440 firearms. This collection included 20 assault weapons and two machine guns. Additionally, law enforcement recovered stolen firearms, ammunition, magazines, and four suppressors. The search also led to the seizure of about 6 pounds of marijuana, dozens of grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, and over $7,000 in cash.
Authorities have noted that Gogna was legally prohibited from possessing firearms. He has been charged with numerous firearms violations, possession of controlled substances, and child endangerment.
