- Victim found dead inside her car in a church parking lot.

Theresa Jones, a 61-year-old grandmother, was found deceased inside her car in a Fullerton church parking lot. Her disappearance on July 7th, after missing a grandchild pickup, triggered a search that concluded tragically on July 11th. Her son, 23-year-old Emmanuel Wesley, has been charged with her murder.
Prosecutors allege Wesley shot his mother twice in the back while she was in the driver's seat outside the Fullerton Police Department on July 4th. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Wesley moving his mother's body to the passenger seat and then driving the car away.
Wesley has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges. If convicted, he faces a potential sentence of 50 years to life in prison, including a firearm enhancement. Jones' family remembers her as a devoted Christian and a fiercely loving mother and grandmother.
