Summary
- Influencer Nancy Grewal was fatally stabbed outside a home in LaSalle, Canada.
- Her mother alleges the attack was premeditated and possibly linked to a dispute.
- Grewal, a nurse, had previously reported death threats and a house fire.

Indian-origin social media personality and nurse Nancy Grewal was tragically stabbed to death in LaSalle, Canada, on Tuesday evening. Grewal, originally from Ludhiana, India, was attacked outside a residence by unidentified assailants. Her mother reported that her daughter sustained 18 stab wounds to the abdomen and alleged that her tongue was also cut during the brutal assault.
According to her family, Grewal had visited a patient in LaSalle and was attacked shortly after stepping outside the house in the evening. Her mother claims the assailants had set a trap at a location lacking CCTV surveillance. The family also revealed that Grewal had faced prior threats, including her house being set on fire approximately two months ago, an incident that was reported to the police.
Grewal's mother suggested the killing might be connected to disputes involving individuals linked to a local gurdwara. Nancy had reportedly raised concerns about alleged theft of rations from the gurdwara and supported the installation of cameras, which led to escalating hostility despite her commitment to the truth. She worked up to 16 hours daily as a nurse, balancing employment with two companies.
Despite previous complaints filed with the police regarding threats and the fire incident, Grewal's mother stated that no effective action was taken. The family has appealed to both Indian and Canadian authorities for safety and justice, with the mother also expressing fear for her own life following her daughter's murder.
