Christina Downer, sister of "Saturday Night Live" writer Jimmy Fowlie, has been confirmed deceased, with two suspects arrested in connection with her murder. Delorean Bijon Brandon, 41, identified as Downer's boyfriend, and Kaylee Nicole Markowski, 34, were apprehended on Thursday. Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department suspect Brandon and Markowski were responsible for Downer's death and subsequently disposed of her body while concealing the crime.
Downer was initially reported missing on December 18, 2025, after a welfare check. Brandon had claimed she had left voluntarily, leaving behind her vehicle and pet. The investigation intensified when Downer's cell phone was discovered washed ashore on a Santa Monica beach. This led law enforcement to a property in Joshua Tree, where an extensive search was conducted with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Fowlie shared on April 29 that his family's hopes for his sister's safe return had shifted to seeking truth and accountability. He indicated that Downer's phone and social media may have been compromised in the weeks preceding her disappearance. Individuals allegedly used her devices to fabricate a narrative of her going "off the grid" and to solicit money, attempting to hide the fact of her abduction.
