In a shocking incident in Muzaffarnagar district, two sisters, aged 16 and 32, have been arrested for allegedly murdering their 60-year-old father. The sisters reportedly confessed that they had been planning the murder for several days due to alleged discrimination and taunts from their father regarding their gender and marital status.
Authorities reported that on Sunday night, the sisters allegedly administered sedatives to other family members through their food. Once the family was asleep, they proceeded with their plan. The younger sister allegedly held their father's legs while the elder sister slit his throat with a kitchen knife. The crime came to light on Monday morning when the father's body was discovered.
Investigators quickly detained the sisters, who subsequently admitted to the murder during questioning. Police have registered a case under BNS section 103 (murder) and recovered sleeping pills and the murder weapon. The sisters have been presented before a court and remanded into judicial custody.
