Michelle Neill, 55, has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of her sister, Kelly Neill, who was partially paralyzed following a stroke in January 2018. The tragic events unfolded at their family home in Deptford.
On the morning of October 20, 2022, paramedics discovered Kelly Neill in distress on the living room floor amidst unsanitary conditions. She was subsequently taken to St Thomas's Hospital, where she succumbed to sepsis three days later.
Prosecutors stated that Michelle Neill unlawfully killed her sister by breaching her duty of care and failing to seek necessary medical assistance. Sentencing for Michelle Neill has been adjourned at the Old Bailey, with a date yet to be fixed.
