In Sinnar, law enforcement officials conducted a successful raid on a hotel, leading to the arrest of four individuals. The operation, a joint effort by the Sinnar police and the Nashik Rural police's anti-human trafficking cell, targeted an alleged flesh trade business operating within the hotel premises. Four women were rescued during the raid; three hailed from Nashik city, while one was from Igatpuri. These women had been coerced into prostitution for financial gain.
Authorities have also initiated proceedings against three other individuals accused of forcing the women into prostitution. The arrested suspects, facing charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, appeared before a court on Sunday. They were subsequently remanded to police custody for four days, with their custody extending until June 17. The raid was prompted by an intelligence tip received by the anti-human trafficking unit.
