Singer David Anthony Burke, professionally known as d4vd, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges with special circumstances. Authorities allege he had a sexual relationship with 13-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who was found deceased in his Tesla in the Hollywood Hills approximately a year after she was last seen alive with him. Her body was discovered on what would have been her 15th birthday.
According to the criminal complaint, Burke engaged in continuous sexual abuse with Celeste from September 2023 to September 2024. Prosecutors claim he killed her after she threatened to expose their relationship. Celeste's autopsy report revealed she suffered 'multiple penetrating injuries' and that two fingers were missing from one of her hands. A tattoo identical to one d4vd has was found on her finger.
Burke's legal team asserts that the evidence will prove his innocence. Celeste, remembered by neighbors as a bright girl who loved Hello Kitty, was last seen alive in April 2025. Her family is seeking justice for her death, stating she was a beloved daughter and sister whose life was tragically cut short.
