Shraddha Dubey, the primary suspect in the murder of Shiva Sharma, has reportedly confessed that her boyfriend, Amir, accompanied her from Lucknow and facilitated her entry into Nepal via Bahraich. She was apprehended in Nagpur by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Lucknow Police after being on the run since October 9.
During interrogation, Dubey admitted to travelling to Kanpur and Agra, seeking hotel bookings but leaving when asked for identification due to fear of recognition. She evaded capture for 11 days by opting for smaller hotels and lounges where ID wasn't required. Investigators are identifying individuals who may have aided Dubey and other accused parties in their evasion.
Sharma's death, initially deemed an accidental fall from an apartment balcony in Lucknow's Hazratganj area on October 9, is now suspected to be a murder following allegations of assault and torture by his family. Police are considering adding Amir's name to the First Information Report and may announce a reward for his arrest.
