Shooting Incident Leaves 3 Injured at OSU Dorm During Homecoming

On the morning of October 19, 2025, a shooting incident occurred at the Carreker East Residential Hall on the Oklahoma State University campus. According to the OSU Police Department, officials responded to the dorm after multiple shooting victims arrived at off-campus locations in Stillwater, Oklahoma, around 3:40 a.m.
OSU Chief of Police Michael Beckner confirmed that there were multiple victims, all of whom are being treated at hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. At least one of the victims is known to be a student at the university.
While officials are investigating the incident, OSU law enforcement has determined that there is no ongoing threat to the campus. Initial reports indicate a large, private party occurred at an off-campus location, and after the gathering disbanded, some attendees returned to Carreker East where the shooting took place.
