Shilpa Shetty Faces Income Tax Raids Over Hotel Business

Income Tax officials recently conducted raids at Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's Mumbai residence. This action is reportedly linked to a case involving her co-owned hotel, Bestian Garden City. The investigation also extended to Bengaluru, where searches were carried out in connection with her hospitality business.

These developments occurred shortly after Bengaluru police filed cases against two pubs, including Bastian Garden City, for allegedly operating past their authorized hours. Shilpa Shetty has reportedly denied the allegations, deeming them baseless and noting a pending High Court petition.

The scrutiny intensified following CCTV footage capturing a late-night altercation at one of the pubs. Authorities initiated suo motu action after videos suggested both establishments were functioning beyond permitted times, leading to a broader investigation into alleged tax evasion and regulatory breaches.
