Sheffield Teen Dies: Car Used as Weapon Trial

Three men are currently on trial, accused of murder following the death of 16-year-old Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Taleb. The incident occurred on June 4th of last year when Taleb was fatally struck by a car on Staniforth Road in Sheffield. The prosecution contends the car was intentionally driven onto the pavement at high speed, resulting in catastrophic injuries from which the teenager could not recover.

The court heard that the car was allegedly used as a weapon, targeting individuals on electric bikes and a moped before mounting the pavement and hitting Taleb. One of the cyclists was thrown over a hedge and required extensive surgery. The prosecution stated that none of the accused offered assistance after the collisions.

During the trial, it was revealed that the driver of the car, Zulkernain Ahmed, allegedly called emergency services six minutes after the collision to report his car stolen, sounding unusually calm. His brother, Armaan Ahmed, and Adam Mohammed were also passengers in the vehicle. The prosecution claims the three men were 'all in this together' during the fatal incident.
