Family Celebrates Life of Triple Stabbing Victim

Family and friends recently gathered to celebrate the life of Shad Cole, a 37-year-old who was tragically killed on Jacksonville's Westside. Instead of focusing on sorrow, loved ones chose to honor Cole's memory in a joyful manner at a local event featuring a pool, barbecue, and community spirit. They described Cole as honest and loyal, someone they looked up to.

A significant source of solace for Cole's family was discovering the Lord's Prayer in his wallet shortly after his death. This discovery brought peace, reinforcing their belief that Cole had found faith, offering hope for a future reunion.

Cole was one of three victims of a stabbing incident that occurred exactly one month prior to the gathering. Also killed were Savannah Barber, 27, and her father, Edwin Barber, 49. Savannah and Cole leave behind two 13-year-old children. The man accused of these crimes, Austin Fisher, pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree murder and one count of armed robbery.
