- Women were reportedly lured through Craigslist job advertisements.

Authorities in Georgia are searching for potential victims of Julius Hunter, a convicted Florida sex offender. DNA evidence has connected Hunter to three separate sexual assault cases that occurred in 2016 and 2017. These incidents involved women who were allegedly lured through fake job advertisements posted on Craigslist, promising roles such as babysitting, modeling, dancing, and massages.
A 2016 attack on a 19-year-old woman in Clarkston is a primary focus, with Hunter indicted on charges including rape, aggravated sodomy, and kidnapping in August. The victim believed she was going to a $300 overnight babysitting job but arrived at an apartment to find Hunter and another unidentified man.
This case remained unsolved for years until Hunter's 2021 unrelated Florida conviction led to his DNA profile entering a national database. A match was then made to evidence from the Georgia assault kits. Hunter was arrested in Florida in August and extradited to Georgia, where he is currently incarcerated.
