A second teenager has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor in Woolwich. The 15-year-old suspect, whose identity is legally protected, is due to appear at Barkingside Youth Court on Thursday.
This development follows an earlier charge against another 16-year-old, also for murder, who appeared in court on April 11 and was remanded in custody. Police were initially called to Warwick Street on April 2 after reports of a shooting.
Eghosa was discovered with severe injuries at the scene and tragically died. Court proceedings previously indicated that Eghosa had been shot in the chest and was also armed.
A comprehensive six-week trial has been set for January to examine all aspects of the case.
