Summary
- Manuel Garcia Hernandez led a drug ring importing drugs from Mexico and Colombia.
- Law enforcement seized over 46 kilograms of cocaine and methamphetamine.
- Hernandez's prior DUI conviction was noted as a missed opportunity for intervention.

Manuel Garcia Hernandez, once the owner of Mg General Construction LLC, has been apprehended and sentenced for his role in a large-scale drug trafficking organization. This group was responsible for importing substantial amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine into the Seattle region, sourcing their supply from Mexico and Colombia. Authorities seized over 32 kilograms of cocaine and 14 kilograms of methamphetamine, along with 83,000 fentanyl pills, 3 kilograms of heroin, and 1 kilogram of fentanyl powder between 2020 and 2024.
During Hernandez's arrest in June 2024, law enforcement discovered heroin, loaded firearms, ammunition, and multiple phones. The investigation, initiated via wiretaps in late 2023, revealed Hernandez was distributing 'pound quantities' of illicit drugs and even planned heroin trades in Western Kentucky. First Assistant Attorney General Neil Floyd noted that Hernandez's 2022 DUI conviction should have raised more alarms, suggesting a review of sanctuary policies that may have prevented his earlier deportation.
