A serious incident occurred on East Common Lane in Scunthorpe on Monday evening, resulting in a 50-year-old man sustaining life-threatening injuries. Police responded to reports of a hit-and-run collision involving a van.
Following the initial incident, officers located and stopped a van on Rochdale Road. Two individuals fled the vehicle but were apprehended after a short pursuit. Two other men were discovered in the back of the van and also taken into custody.
The four arrested suspects, aged between 33 and 53, remain in police custody. A scene guard has been established on East Common Lane as investigations continue. The Independent Office for Police Conduct has been notified due to an injury sustained by one of the detainees.
