On Saturday, October 24th, 2025, a gruesome murder took place in Alinagar Kala village of Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh. 35-year-old Zakir Ali was found dead with his throat slit under a tin shed outside his house.
Investigations revealed that Zakir's wife, 32-year-old Haseena, had been in a relationship with 24-year-old Abdul Salam, a resident of the same village, for the past two years. Zakir had strongly opposed this affair, leading to frequent quarrels in the household.
On the night of October 25th, 2025, Haseena allegedly invited her lover to her home after ensuring her husband and six children were asleep. She then strangled Zakir with a dupatta while he was sleeping. Haseena and Abdul Salam then carried the body outside and used a knife to slit Zakir's throat in an attempt to mislead the investigators.

The next morning, Haseena raised an alarm and pretended to have found the body. However, forensic evidence and witness accounts soon pointed towards her involvement in the crime. Under sustained interrogation, both Haseena and Abdul Salam confessed to the murder.
Police have recovered the murder weapon, a knife, and the bloodstained clothes from the accused. Both have been produced before a local court and sent to jail. Authorities are investigating whether anyone else was involved in the conspiracy.
