An alleged assault involving a pair of scissors occurred last year at the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, which was being used as an asylum seeker accommodation.
Four men have been formally accused in relation to the incident. Mustafa Shneno, Mohammed Barakart, Arkan Al-Meri, and Waled Al Hammle are alleged to have attacked Meshaal Alshemari.
The accusations detail repeated punching and kicking to the head and body, as well as restraint and multiple strikes with scissors, resulting in injury. Barakart, Al Hammle, and Al-Meri, who reside in Edinburgh and Leeds respectively, have entered not guilty pleas at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Shneno, also from Edinburgh, did not have legal representation, and therefore, no plea was formally recorded on his behalf.
