Moore had been released from an undisclosed facility earlier on June 11, 2026. A taxi driver, who had taken her from the facility, reported that she asked to stop at a CVS in Lexington. She did not return to the taxi, and the driver was unable to locate her inside the store.
Her husband reported her missing on June 12, 2026. He later learned from a Planet Fitness employee that Moore had signed in at 6:38 p.m. on June 11. Authorities located Moore's body after receiving a tip that led them to a new search location.
The Lexington County Coroner's Office conducted a forensic autopsy and found no signs of external injuries, including blunt force trauma or wounds. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is currently investigating the cause of her death. A close friend indicated that Moore had expressed fear for her life prior to her disappearance.
