Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of 'Today' show co-host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since the evening of January 31, 2026. She was last seen at her residence near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue in Tucson, Arizona. The Pima County Sheriff's Department is leading an urgent search and has not ruled out the possibility of abduction.
Ms. Guthrie, who lives alone in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood, was reportedly brought home around 9:30 or 9:45 p.m. on January 31 after having dinner with her daughter, Annie Guthrie. The following morning, a parishioner noted her unusual absence from church service, prompting the family to call 911.
Despite facing health issues and difficulty walking, her family describes Nancy as being of "great sound mind" and "sharp as a tack." The critical nature of her daily medication, which she has now missed, is a significant concern. Savannah Guthrie has taken a break from broadcasting amid the ongoing search for her mother.
