Nancy Guthrie was reportedly abducted from her home in Pima County, Arizona, in the early morning hours of February 1, 2026. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, announced a $1 million reward for her mother's safe return, in addition to a $100,000 federal reward.
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have made multiple public appeals for their mother's return since her disappearance. On February 7, 2026, the family confirmed they had received a message from the alleged kidnapper and expressed readiness to communicate further. Authorities arrested Derrick Callella on February 5, 2026, on suspicion of making an imposter ransom demand.
By February 10, 2026, the FBI released surveillance images of a masked individual near Nancy's property. Despite ongoing efforts and increasing the family reward to $1 million on February 24, 2026, the family stated they were prepared for the possibility that Nancy may no longer be alive but still needed to know her whereabouts.
On February 26, 2026, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed the Guthrie family had been cleared as suspects and were fully cooperating victims in the ongoing investigation.
