Sarasota Business Burglar Arrested After Bar Chaos

A woman has been arrested for her alleged involvement in multiple early morning break-ins targeting popular businesses in Sarasota earlier this month. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest on June 18th. Deputies identified the suspect, Kara Jane Plocharsky, 31, through surveillance footage and other investigative means.
Plocharsky faces charges related to the June 4th break-in at 8-Ball Lounge, where the front glass door was found shattered. Surveillance footage showed a woman in a motorcycle helmet breaking the entrance and causing thousands of dollars in damage by pushing liquor bottles off the bar.
She was also arrested on warrants for burglaries at Green Zebra Cafe on St. Armands Circle and The Met in downtown Sarasota, which occurred the same morning. The break-ins at Green Zebra Cafe and 8-Ball Lounge resulted in significant property damage and financial losses for the business owners.
