Santa Fe Cracks Down on Impaired Driving

Santa Fe police have significantly boosted efforts to ensure safer roads, resulting in multiple arrests over a recent weekend. From late Thursday night through early Saturday, the Santa Fe Police Department's DWI officers apprehended five individuals for impaired driving.
During the same period, a 15-year-old was charged with street racing and reckless driving after being caught speeding at 75 mph in a 35 mph zone. The juvenile was later released to his father.
Notable arrests included Marcus Rivera, 38, charged with aggravated DWI, careless driving, and obstruction of an officer. Jordan Garcia, 32, faces aggravated DWI and possession of a controlled substance charges, among others. Dilwer Lopez Godinez, 38, was arrested for aggravated DWI and several traffic violations, including fleeing an officer.
Angelica Vasquez Dominguez, 21, was arrested for DWI after testing nearly twice the legal limit. Shantel Rivera, 31, was also charged with DWI for operating her vehicle erratically while impaired. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
