A California man, Pablo Aguileramora, faces murder charges following the fatal stabbing of his estranged wife, Maria Liliana Vanegas Parra. Responding officers discovered Parra with numerous stab wounds at their San Jose home on June 11. She was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
In her dying moments, Parra identified Aguileramora, who also sustained a self-inflicted stab wound, as her assailant. Authorities further allege that Aguileramora threatened the individual who called 911 to report the attack.
This incident follows a March stalking charge against Aguileramora, which included allegations of slashing Parra's tires and placing tracking devices on her vehicle. Parra had secured an emergency protective order against him in that case. Loved ones remember Parra as a joyful mother whose desire was to be sent to her native Colombia.
