In Deori town, Sagar district, police have solved a murder mystery by recovering the skeleton of 22-year-old Prince Valmiki, who had been missing for nearly six months. The remains were discovered approximately six months after he was reported missing.
The investigation uncovered a deep-seated motive involving an illicit relationship. Shohaib, a local resident, had a long-standing relationship with the victim's wife, which reportedly continued even after her marriage.
Shohaib confessed to police that he lured Prince Valmiki to the premises of a private school. After consuming alcohol, Shohaib allegedly attacked and killed the victim, subsequently disposing of the body to conceal his crime.
Authorities confirmed that Shohaib considered the victim an obstacle due to the ongoing affair. While the victim's wife was not involved in the murder conspiracy, a case has been registered against Shohaib. DNA tests will be conducted on the recovered skeleton.
