Customs officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport intercepted two men arriving from Bangkok on December 31, 2025, leading to a significant drug bust. The pair, originally from Gujarat, were found to be in possession of cocaine with an estimated international market value of Rs 20.95 crore.
During a thorough inspection of their luggage, officers discovered black polythene packets hidden within two black trolley bags. These packets contained a white substance that, upon diagnostic testing, was identified as cocaine. The total net weight of the seized drug amounted to 2,095.5 grams.
Both passengers have been arrested in connection with the smuggling attempt. This operation highlights the continuous efforts by customs authorities to combat drug trafficking into the country.
