19 Aug
Summary
- A Rs 1 crore property of a woman drug trafficker was frozen.
- Her son's Rs 1 crore property was frozen the day before.
- The family is allegedly deeply involved in drug trafficking.

As part of the "Operation Chakravyuh" special drive against drug trafficking, Hanumangarh police have frozen a residential property valued at approximately Rs 1 crore. The property belongs to Zaiba Bibi, a 60-year-old woman identified as a "first-rate" drug trafficker, and was seized under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.
This action was taken after the police froze a similar Rs 1 crore residential property belonging to Bibi's son just a day prior. Authorities suspect Bibi's entire family is involved in drug trafficking, with three sons and one daughter reportedly engaged in this illegal trade for an extended period.
Zaiba Bibi faces two pending cases, including under the NDPS Act, and lacks any identified legitimate source of income. The seized 8,160-square-foot house is alleged to have been constructed using proceeds from her drug trafficking activities. This operation continues under the supervision of senior police officials.
The investigation leading to these seizures began following the arrest of Gurtej Singh alias Fauji on June 14, who was found with 5.91 grams of heroin. He was allegedly operating a drug network in association with Zaiba Bibi.
