Roommate Strangled to Death Over Drunken Abuses

Ghaziabad police apprehended two individuals, Badal Kumar and Chintu Singh, on Tuesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of their 22-year-old roommate. The victim, Aakash, was discovered deceased in Loni on January 4th. Preliminary investigations suggest the altercation occurred while the three friends were consuming alcohol.
The accused confessed that an escalating argument, fueled by excessive drinking, led to the fatal assault. Aakash reportedly became aggressive and abusive, prompting the two friends to strangle him using a cloth muffler. Police have recovered the muffler and four pouches of country liquor from the scene.
Authorities registered a case under relevant sections of the law, including murder and provisions of the SC/ST Act. The swift action by the Loni police led to the arrest of the two accused on January 5th, bringing a swift conclusion to the investigation.
