21 May
Summary
- Gangster Anmol Bishnoi ordered shooting at Rohit Shetty's residence.
- Shooter Deepak Sharma fled first attempt, fired five rounds later.
- Bishnoi guided shooter via live video call during incident.

Jailed gangster Anmol Bishnoi orchestrated a shooting incident targeting Bollywood director Rohit Shetty's Mumbai residence. Shooter Deepak Sharma initially attempted the attack in January but fled due to panic. Following reprimands from Bishnoi, Sharma returned on February 1 and fired five rounds at Shetty's apartment, with one bullet hitting a gym window. No injuries were reported.
During the February 1 incident, Anmol Bishnoi, who was facing charges from a previous NIA arrest, remained connected to Sharma via a live video call. He provided guidance and encouragement until the shooter escaped. The attack was a conspiracy to establish the Bishnoi gang's dominance, leading to the arrest of 15 individuals, including key members Shubham Lonkar and Arzoo Bishnoi, who had claimed responsibility on social media.
Sharma and three others fled by autorickshaw and then by train to northern states. Shubham Lonkar is also implicated in other cases, including the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and firing at actor Salman Khan's residence. The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has been invoked against the accused.
