In Rochester, an 18-year-old named Curtis Deangelo Williams appeared in court on charges related to a hit-and-run incident from late April. The event left a woman with critical injuries, including a collapsed lung and skull fractures.
Witnesses reported seeing a female lying in the road at Oak Terrace Estates. She was conscious initially but unable to provide a statement to police. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital.
The passenger of the vehicle involved stated the injured woman reached through the car window and punched him, subsequently slipping and falling under the vehicle. The pair reportedly fled the scene due to a court order prohibiting the passenger from being near the victim and Williams' probation status.
