Florida Judge Halts Custody for Mom in Rihanna Attack Case
21 Apr
Summary
- Florida judge orders zero child contact for mother pending further court order.
- Mother arrested for attempted murder after firing shots at Rihanna's home.
- Custody battle paused until mother's criminal case concludes in California.

A Florida judge has issued a significant ruling regarding a mother accused in a shooting incident involving the singer Rihanna. The court has mandated that the mother will have absolutely no contact with her child until a future court order dictates otherwise.
This decision comes after the mother's arrest in March for attempted murder. She allegedly drove to Rihanna's Los Angeles residence and discharged firearms. Reports indicate Rihanna was home with her three children at the time of the incident.
As a result of the ongoing criminal proceedings in California, the Florida court has placed the larger custody dispute on hold. The trial for modifying custody arrangements will not commence until the conclusion of the criminal case stemming from the Rihanna shooting.
Prior to this, the mother had also been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in Florida, a situation she claimed was based on false accusations. However, the judge in that instance also noted concerns regarding her mental state.
