The Carroll County Sheriff's Office in Westminster, Maryland, reported that the married couple was taken into custody on Thursday, October 5, 2025, but has since been released after posting a $50,000 bond each.
Dr. Wendy Osefo is facing 16 charges, including 7 felonies, for allegedly making false or misleading information in fraud exceeding $300. She is also facing one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to an officer. Her husband, Eddie Osefo, faces 18 total charges, including 9 felony counts of false or misleading information fraud in excess of $300, 8 misdemeanor counts of the same, and a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to an officer.
The couple, who wed in 2011, share three children - two sons, Karter and Kruz, and a daughter, Kamrynn. They were both dressed in matching gray T-shirts, which appeared to be the jail attire, when their mugshots were released on Friday, October 6, 2025. Dr. Osefo, who joined the "Real Housewives of Potomac" in 2020, has also worked as a commentator on CNN and launched a candle and lifestyle business called Onyi Home Essentials.
