In Siwan district, a revenue employee named Dilip Kumar Sinha was arrested by the Vigilance Investigation Bureau's headquarters team for accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. The apprehension took place at an unauthorized private office located in Gopalpur Chak Market, within the Husainpur police station area.
The operation followed a written complaint lodged by Shrey Raj, a local resident, on November 10. Raj alleged that Sinha had solicited an illegal payment of Rs 65,000 for revising land records. When the payment was not made, Sinha reportedly cancelled the application twice before agreeing to accept installments, with Rs 15,000 demanded upfront.
After secret verification confirmed the complaint's validity, a case was registered. A six-member vigilance team then executed a planned strategy, leading to Sinha's arrest while receiving the bribe money. He is slated to be produced before the special vigilance court in Muzaffarpur and subsequently sent to judicial custody.
