Law enforcement officers apprehended a man with a significant criminal history on Saturday night, following an alleged burglary attempt. The Thurston County Sheriff's Office confirmed the arrest, noting the suspect has been to jail 15 times previously.
Responding officers from Tumwater Police, Olympia Police, and Thurston deputies found the man at a local lumber yard. He was reportedly covered in mud, sweating, and out of breath, consistent with attempting to flee the scene. Security footage allegedly captured him in possession of burglary tools.
This latest arrest occurred shortly after the suspect's release from jail on December 19. His previous incarceration was for stealing packages from residents' front porches. He was booked into the Thurston County Jail, facing multiple charges including burglary, theft, and trespassing.
