Repeat Offender Arrested for Attacking Widow, Occupying Her Rental Property

On November 12, 2025, a 26-year-old man with a criminal history was arrested for assaulting a widow and attempting to occupy one of the rented rooms on her property in Gurgaon's Laxman Vihar phase 2. The suspect, Kunal Jaiswal, also known as Golu, was taken into custody by the police.
According to the authorities, Jaiswal has a lengthy criminal record, with 13 previous cases registered against him. These include charges for murder, attempted murder, assault, illegal possession of arms, and rioting.
The incident occurred on the evening of November 11, 2025, when the widow landlord received a call from one of her tenants, informing her that some men had occupied room number 15. When the woman reached the property around 8 PM, she allegedly found Jaiswal and two to three others sitting inside after placing their furniture.
When the widow asked the men to vacate the room, Jaiswal and his associates reportedly began assaulting her. Family members of the victim who intervened were also beaten up and threatened with dire consequences. A case was registered for assault following the widow's complaint and medical reports of the injured.
During interrogation, Jaiswal admitted that he had targeted the property because he knew the owner was a widow and thought her to be an easy target. The police have described him as a "habitual offender" with a history of violent crimes.
