Surveillance footage has emerged showing the arrest of Nick Reiner, accused of murdering his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner. The footage, released by NBC4 Los Angeles, depicts Nick Reiner, 32, being apprehended by authorities in the Exposition Park neighborhood. Rob and Michele Reiner, aged 78 and 70 respectively, were discovered deceased at their Brentwood residence on Sunday, December 14.
The official cause of death for Rob and Michele Reiner was determined to be multiple sharp force injuries, with their deaths classified as homicides. Nick Reiner was arrested on Monday, December 15, and subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He is currently held without bail, and his arraignment is scheduled for January 7, 2026, where he could face life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
The Reiner siblings, Jake (34) and Romy (27), who also shared parents Rob and Michele, expressed their profound grief. Rob Reiner also had an adopted daughter, Tracy (61), from a previous marriage. Jake and Romy described their parents as their best friends and conveyed their heartbreak over the "unimaginable pain" of their loss, while requesting privacy and compassion.
