Rob and Michele Reiner were discovered deceased in their Brentwood, California home on December 14, 2025, following apparent stab wounds. Their daughter, Romy Reiner, found her father's body after arriving at the residence when the couple missed a scheduled appointment.
Paramedics informed Romy that her mother was also deceased. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the discovery around 3:30 p.m. local time. Nick Reiner, their son, was arrested approximately six hours later at a Los Angeles metro station.
On December 16, 2025, the Los Angeles District Attorney announced Nick Reiner has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, facing potential life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty. His arraignment was postponed as he had not yet received medical clearance.
