Reading Manhunt: Son Sought in Mother's Death

Reading, Massachusetts police are actively searching for a 22-year-old man, identified as Ryan Hanafin, who is considered a person of interest in the fatal shooting of his mother. The victim, Andria Hanafin, was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound in the kitchen of her Center Avenue home early Thursday morning. Her husband, Matthew Hanafin, alerted authorities upon returning home and finding his wife. Their younger child was present in the residence at the time of the discovery. Investigators have stated there is no significant history of police calls to the family home, and the husband last communicated with his older son on Wednesday morning. Ryan Hanafin is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, with shoulder-length blonde hair, a mustache, and glasses. He is believed to be operating a black 2010 Dodge Charger bearing the Massachusetts license plate 2PSY15. Police are urging the public not to approach him and to contact 911 immediately if he or his vehicle are sighted, as he is considered potentially armed and dangerous.
