French rapper Zola is facing serious accusations of kidnapping and assault after allegedly imprisoning a fan who approached him for a photograph. The 26-year-old artist, whose real name is Aurélien N'Zuzi Zola, is accused of holding the 19-year-old victim captive in his home's basement for two hours on November 6th.
During the ordeal, the fan was reportedly subjected to physical violence, including punches and kicks, verbal threats, and had his clothes set on fire. A handgun was allegedly pointed at his temple and inserted into his mouth, with reports of gunfire near him. The victim's phone and bank card were also stolen, and his car was vandalized.
Zola, along with three other individuals, has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, theft, criminal damage, and weapon possession. Despite evidence, they have remained silent or denied the charges. Zola was placed in pre-trial detention, with a court hearing scheduled for November 26th.
