Rapper Ghetts Pleads Guilty to Fatal Hit-and-Run

Rapper Ghetts, known legally as Justin Clarke-Samuel, has entered a guilty plea for causing the death of student Yubin Tamang during a hit-and-run incident. The 41-year-old artist appeared via video link from Pentonville prison to admit his responsibility for the fatal collision that occurred on October 18.
Clarke-Samuel further pleaded guilty to a separate charge of dangerous driving, admitting he operated his BMW M5 recklessly in London immediately preceding the tragic event. He has been remanded in custody awaiting his sentencing, which is slated for February.
Ghetts, a critically acclaimed musician, was nominated for the 2024 Mercury Prize for his album 'On Purpose, with Purpose' and received the best male act award at the 2021 Mobo awards. He has previously collaborated with prominent artists such as Ed Sheeran.
