According to Jayesh, their marriage was stable, and they had no financial or family troubles. However, he told the police that Asmita "had wanted a son and, in the desire for a son, she took this step."
Investigators have seized the dupatta, rope, and hook used in the incident, as well as Asmita's mobile phone. They will examine the call records of both Asmita and Jayesh, and Asmita's phone will be checked for any relevant information. The police have also recorded preliminary statements from Asmita's family, who have not expressed any suspicion about anyone.
