Karauli Student Dies by Suicide, Cites Teacher Harassment

Tragedy struck in Karauli, Rajasthan, on Tuesday evening when a 14-year-old student died by suicide following alleged mistreatment by teachers. The Class 9 student was reportedly beaten and harassed at school earlier that day. Distraught by the incident, he penned a suicide note before taking his own life behind his home.

The note, discovered at the scene, purportedly identified two teachers and called for their jailing. The student's family, alerted by a relative who found the body, rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. They are demanding a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter.

Authorities have registered an FIR for abetment of suicide against the accused teachers. The police confirmed they will question the individuals named in the note and review the school's CCTV footage as part of their ongoing probe into the incident.
