Two Rajasthan-based shooters, identified as Vishnu Kumar and Rahul Mahawar, were arrested on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir. They are accused in the June 1 murder of Gurcharan Singh Gaba, the owner of Gaba General Store in Makhu town, Ferozepur district. The arrests were made by a joint police team from Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir on the Patnitop-Kud road.
During the operation, police recovered a .30-bore Beretta pistol and ten live cartridges from the suspects. Preliminary investigations reveal Vishnu Kumar has an extensive criminal record, including extortion and robbery, and a Rs 10,000 reward was previously declared for his capture by Rajasthan Police. Authorities are now investigating the broader conspiracy behind the murder.
