The boycott was a collective, voluntary action called by three prominent bar associations: the Rajasthan High Court Advocates' Association, Jodhpur; the Rajasthan High Court Lawyers' Association, Jodhpur; and the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association, Jaipur. These associations clarified that no coercion was used to enforce the boycott.
Representatives from the bar associations articulated their concerns, stating that the new policy adversely impacts advocates' professional schedules, family life, and overall work-life balance. They also pointed out that the decision to expedite case disposal was made without sufficient consultation with the legal community.
