Punjabi Singer Found Dead in Canal After Abduction

The body of Punjabi singer Inder Kaur, known to her fans as Yashinder Kaur, was recovered from the Neelo canal in Punjab on Tuesday morning. She had been reported missing approximately one week prior, on May 13, with her disappearance raising concerns of abduction.
Authorities confirmed her identity after the recovery of her remains. The body has since been transferred to the Civil Hospital in Samrala for a postmortem examination and to facilitate further legal proceedings. This discovery followed a complaint lodged by the singer's brother, Jotinder Singh.
Based on Jotinder Singh's statement, the police registered an FIR on May 15 against two individuals: Sukhwinder Singh, also known as Sukha, from Moga, and his associate Karamjit Singh. During the investigation, it emerged that the accused had allegedly desired to marry Inder Kaur, but she had rejected their proposal.
