7 Jun
Summary
- Over 150 people found at a luxury villa rave party near Pune.
- Ganja, banned hookah flavors, and liquor worth lakhs were seized.
- The party continued operating past its permitted liquor service time.

In a significant operation early on June 7, Pune Police raided a luxury villa in Tulapur village, uncovering an alleged rave party with 156 individuals present. The pre-dawn raid, involving a substantial police force, resulted in the recovery of approximately three grams of ganja, three hookah pots, and ten banned hookah flavors. Authorities also seized liquor estimated to be worth Rs 9.22 lakh, bringing the total value of seized items to around Rs 85 lakh.
Investigators are scrutinizing the event's organizers, identified as Aiman Sheikh of Blaze Entertainment and Yash Chaudhary of Star Light Entertainment. A critical point of investigation is that the permission for liquor service expired at 11:30 pm on June 6, yet the party reportedly continued significantly later. Police are examining all necessary permissions obtained for the gathering, the ages of attendees, and the source of the seized liquor and narcotics.
Further inquiries are underway to determine the bungalow's ownership, the authorization process for the event, and any potential connections to wider narcotics networks. The role of the venue provider is also under examination to ascertain their awareness of the party's nature. A case has been registered at Lonikand Police Station, with further legal actions pending the completion of the investigation.
